Our client is a premier FinTech firm that empowers over 7,000 clients across South Asia and globally with tech-driven solutions for their bookkeeping, payroll, and tax needs. We’re searching for a meticulous and client-focused Assistant Manager – Tax to guide our clients through complex regulatory landscapes and drive business growth.
As the Assistant Manager – Tax, you will be a strategic leader responsible for ensuring flawless tax operations. Your core duties will include:
- End-to-End Filing: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all individual and corporate income tax returns, plus monthly/quarterly VAT, SSCL, & WHT schedules via RAMIS.
- Regulatory Management: Act as the main point of contact for the IRD (Inland Revenue Department), expertly managing all official communications, including assessments, appeals, objections, and dispute resolutions.
- Expert Guidance: Proactively monitor and interpret evolving tax laws, providing critical guidance and support to the team and clients.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all financial statements and documentation meet the highest standards of accuracy and statutory compliance.
- Client Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, lasting client relationships by delivering exceptional client service.
Pre Requisites
We are looking for a high-calibre professional with proven experience and a leadership mindset.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 4–5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in the field of taxation.
- Qualification (Mandatory): Must be fully or partly qualified in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, AAT, or CMA, OR have fully/partly completed the Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation program.
- Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills and a proven track record of strong leadership and team management.
- Mindset: Ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
