An established blue-chip apparel manufacturer, renowned for its premium traditional menswear and advanced production facilities, is seeking an Automation Cutting Manager to lead the implementation and optimization of automated fabric cutting systems.
This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with hands-on experience in automated cutting technology, who can enhance production efficiency, accuracy, and material utilization through digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and optimization of automated cutting workflows across production lines.
- Manage and maintain cutting machines and software systems for consistent performance.
- Oversee pattern file management, including nesting and marker optimization.
- Conduct machine calibration and maintenance to ensure precision cutting.
- Train and upskill internal teams on machine operation, troubleshooting, and software usage.
- Drive initiatives to reduce fabric wastage and improve cutting accuracy and speed.
Pre Requisites
- Proven experience working with automated cutting systems (e.g., Bullmer, Gerber Cutter, Eastman).
- Strong knowledge of marker making, nesting optimization, and pattern file management.
- Understanding of fabric behavior, cutting parameters, and quality control standards.
- Hands-on technical skills in machine setup, calibration, and maintenance.
- Ability to collaborate closely with production, R&D, and product development teams.
