Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive business strategies to achieve the company’s mission and long-term objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight across all functions of the organization, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals.
  • Drive the company’s vision and values to build a robust corporate culture.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and expand market share.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance the company’s competitive position.
  • Lead initiatives for market expansion and entry into new geographic regions within Africa.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee the company’s financial performance, ensuring sound financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Implement robust financial controls and procedures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Optimize financial performance by driving revenue growth and managing costs effectively.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across all business units.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Oversee the supply chain and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Cultivate a high-performance culture by fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Develop and mentor the senior leadership team, enhancing their skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Implement talent management strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, and investors.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and public engagements.
  • Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on business performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the business through effective risk management strategies.
  • Maintain a strong ethical framework and promote corporate social responsibility.

 

Pre Requisites

  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • MBA from a reputable institution is mandatory.
  • Part / Full finance qualification is an added advantage.
  • Age : 42 – 47 yrs
  • Experience:
  • At least 15 years + of experience in senior leadership roles within the FMCG / Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale business entities.
  • Significant experience in the African market, with a deep understanding of the Kenyan business environment.
  • Previous experience as a CEO or in a similar executive role is highly desirable.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
  • Strong financial management skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive change and innovation in a dynamic business environment.
