Oversee and ensure compliance with all direct and indirect taxes, including Income Tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
Accurately prepare and timely file tax returns.
Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits, assessments, and inquiries.
Ensure timely payment of taxes and submission of accurate tax documentation.
Legislative Updates:
Stay informed about the latest changes in tax legislation and regulations.
Analyze the impact of new tax laws and advise management accordingly.
Communicate updates and changes in tax laws to relevant stakeholders within the company.
Tax Planning and Advisory:
Provide tax advice and planning strategies to optimize tax liability.
Assist in the development and implementation of tax-efficient structures and processes.
Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all tax matters.
Prepare regular tax reports for management, highlighting key areas of focus and potential risks.
Pre Requisites
Member or Student of the Sri Lanka Tax Institute.
Part qualification in ICASL (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
Relevant experience in tax processing, preferably within a corporate or consulting environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
