Roles & Responsibilities
Our client, a prestigious and fast-growing apparel manufacturer based in Bangladesh, is seeking an experienced General Manager – Industrial Engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in denim, knitwear, and woven product categories and will lead efforts to optimize production efficiency, implement cost-saving initiatives, and uphold high-quality standards. Experience with handling GSD license is a distinct advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage Industrial Engineering functions across denim, knitwear, and woven product lines
- Drive productivity improvements through work-study, line balancing, and process enhancements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Merchandising, and other teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Mentor and develop the IE team to enhance skills and operational effectiveness
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and ethical standards
Pre Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Apparel Technology, or related field
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in industrial engineering roles within apparel manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a managerial position
- Proven expertise in denim, knitwear, and woven manufacturing processes
- Experience with GSD license and methodology highly preferred
- Proficiency in IE software and Microsoft Office applications
