Roles & Responsibilities

Our client is a leading shared services seeking for a GM – Shared Services who will be responsible for leading, strategizing, and optimizing the company’s shared services function. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency, process improvements, and service delivery excellence while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The leader will manage diverse shared services functions, such as Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, and other support functions, to provide seamless service across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Leadership & Service Delivery:

  • Develop and execute the Shared Services strategy aligned with the organization’s business objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end service delivery across multiple functions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Implement best practices in business process optimization, leveraging automation and digital transformation.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure shared services add value to the business.

2. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence:

  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process excellence methodologies.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs, SLAs, and customer feedback to improve service levels and operational performance.
  • Implement automation, robotics, and AI-driven solutions to enhance productivity.

3. Financial & Cost Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for the Shared Services function, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through process standardization, automation, and outsourcing models.

4. Governance, Risk & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance standards.
  • Establish robust internal controls and risk management frameworks within shared services.

5. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing shared services team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence.
  • Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and capability-building initiatives.

Pre Requisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, IT, or a related field.
  • 10-12 years in Shared Services, Business Process Management, or Operational Leadership roles.
  • Preferred certifications Six Sigma, Lean Management, PMP.
  • Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in a global or regional shared services environment.
