OVERVIEW:
Our client, a leading multinational apparel company, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Head of Compliance to lead their compliance function in Bangladesh. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in apparel industry compliance, a strong understanding of industry regulations, and the ability to develop and implement robust compliance frameworks. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the company’s operations comply with all legal and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of ethical business practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the company’s compliance function in Bangladesh.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor adherence to industry regulations, legal standards, and ethical practices.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance-related issues to senior leadership.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate audits, inspections, and investigations related to compliance issues.
- Ensure the company meets the legal and regulatory requirements of Bangladesh’s apparel industry.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance is integrated into business processes.
- Oversee training programs to raise awareness of compliance standards across the organization.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting of compliance issues.
- Stay up to date with changes in local and international laws and regulations affecting the apparel industry.
Pre Requisites
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized institution.
- 10-15 years of experience in compliance within the apparel industry.
- Experience in compliance management within the denim manufacturing setups will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of local and international compliance regulations and standards for the apparel sector.
- Proven track record of managing and leading compliance teams.
- Excellent knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks.
