Head of Industrial Engineering

OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading apparel manufacturer seeking a highly experienced and innovative Head of Industrial Engineering to lead and optimize their operations within the intimates wear sector. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in manufacturing 5-pocket jeans, bottoms, and related garments, driving efficiency and ensuring high-quality standards across all production processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute the industrial engineering strategy to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with senior management to align operational goals with organizational objectives.

2.Process Optimization:

• Analyze, design, and improve production workflows, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, machinery, and labor.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to minimize waste and enhance productivity.

3.Production Planning & Control:

• Oversee production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining efficiency.
• Monitor and address bottlenecks in the production process.

4.Team Management:

• Lead and mentor the industrial engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Conduct training programs to upskill team members and ensure alignment with industry best practices.

5.Cost Management:

• Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on product quality or production timelines.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, providing regular reports to senior management.

6.Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure all garments meet required standards.
• Address and resolve any quality-related issues in the production process.

7.Technology & Equipment Management:

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, machinery, and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee the maintenance and optimization of existing equipment.

8.Compliance & Sustainability:

• Ensure adherence to local and international labor and environmental regulations.
• Promote sustainable manufacturing practices within the organization.
