Roles & Responsibilities

Our client is a leading manufacturing company seeking for a Head of Marketing who will lead the development and execution of the overall marketing and branding strategy for the FMCG business. This role requires a strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and brand positioning to drive growth, market share, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in FMCG marketing, with proven expertise in brand management, product innovation, consumer engagement, and digital marketing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead brand positioning, identity, and communication strategies to strengthen brand equity and visibility.
  • Identify emerging market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to create innovative strategies.

2.Brand Management & Marketing

  • Oversee brand development and lifecycle management across multiple FMCG product lines.
  • Drive integrated marketing campaigns (ATL, BTL, Digital, Trade Marketing) to enhance consumer engagement.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and consumer touchpoints.
  • Develop and execute product launch strategies and marketing calendars.

3.Market & Consumer Insights

  • Lead consumer and market research to anticipate customer needs and behaviors.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies to improve brand loyalty and penetration.
  • Monitor competitor movements and identify white space opportunities for growth.

4.Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team.
  • Work closely with sales, R&D, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment of marketing with overall business goals.
  • Manage external agencies, media partners, and creative vendors.

5.Performance & Budget Management

  • Manage marketing budgets effectively with ROI-driven approaches.
  • Track, measure, and report on marketing effectiveness, brand performance, and sales impact.
  • Present marketing strategies and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Pre Requisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 12 – 14 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within FMCG.
  • Proven track record of driving brand growth, consumer engagement, and market share in FMCG.
