Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager – Finance (Plant Accounting) to manage financial reporting and operational finance activities at our Midigama manufacturing plant. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing MIS reports, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and driving cost control initiatives to support business performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze plant MIS reports including Payables, GR/IR open status, and payment efficiency metrics.
- Ensure timely booking of invoices, reconciliation, payments, and coordination with vendors and internal departments for smooth financial operations.
- Analyze conversion costs versus budgets, identify variances, and recommend cost optimization measures.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and operations teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and efficiency improvements.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings including provisions, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of OPEX for upcoming financial periods.
- Drive automation and accuracy in reporting through SAP scripting, Excel Macros, and digital tools.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes and internal controls.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and stock auditors to ensure compliance and timely completion of audits.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects such as Kaizens and KPI tracking aligned with plant goals.

Pre Requisites
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
- 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in finance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, cost accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience in quarterly and annual closing of accounts.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and MS Excel (including Macros and automation tools).
- Experience in audit coordination, statutory compliance, and internal controls.
