Manager – Structural Packaging Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on professional with extensive expertise in Structural Packaging Product Design, Development, and Innovation. The role is ideal for candidates with Artios CAD proficiency, costing expertise, and project management capabilities, looking to drive product excellence, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing and packaging environment.

As Manager – Structural Packaging Development, you will lead a team of Product Development Executives, drive new product innovations, ensure quality and cost optimization, and manage end-to-end structural packaging projects across multiple brands and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Packaging Design & Product Development

• Create conceptual and production-ready designs using Artios CAD and other design tools.
• Develop innovative structural packaging products aligned with customer specifications, brand requirements, and functional performance.
• Prepare mock-ups, prototypes, and visual representations, coordinating with Account/Brand Managers for approvals.
• Arrange product testing, compliance checks, and validation to ensure performance and quality standards.
• Conduct costing analysis, material selection, and vendor negotiations for new product developments.

Project Management & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Lead and manage multiple design and development projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Conduct pre-development meetings, document discussions, and share minutes with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor manufacturing performance, production efficiency, and quality metrics for new developments.

Technical Expertise & Innovation

• Apply strong 2D/3D visualization, conceptual thinking, and mechanical aptitude to drive design innovation and problem-solving.
• Propose alternative designs to enhance functionality, shelf appeal, sustainability, and production efficiency while minimizing costs.
• Serve as the technical focal point for all packaging design projects, providing guidance to team members and stakeholders.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of Product Development Executives, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all projects align with organizational goals, timelines, and customer expectations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for structural packaging design and development initiatives.
