Senior Data Scientist

We’re seeking a passionate and results-driven Senior Data Scientist to join our client’s technology and analytics team. In this role, you’ll design and deliver advanced machine learning solutions that power data-driven decisions and automation across the business.

Level : T1 Level

Experience : 10 – 13 plus years of experience

Overseas Training : Two weeks training in UK

Location : Colombo

Work Hrs : Sri Lankan Working Hours

MANDATORY SKILLS – ( 100% hands on experience )

• AI / ML Modeling – Gen AI & Datamining Models
• Python, SCIKIT, Pyspark , data manipulation – Mandatory
• BI REPORTING AND DATA ANALYSIS – QLIK
• Azure
• SPARK

OPTIONAL SKILLS :

• MLOPS
• Knowledge on Containers

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Build, train, and deploy machine learning and AI models for predictive insights and process automation.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends and generate actionable insights.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to develop data-driven solutions.
• Develop robust data pipelines and workflows for model training and deployment.
• Apply advanced analytics to enhance areas such as risk modeling, fraud detection, and customer analytics.
• Present analytical outcomes and recommendations through compelling visualizations and reports.
• Stay ahead of emerging tools, techniques, and technologies in AI and data science.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Strong programming experience with Python or R, and proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks
• Expertise in data preparation, feature engineering, and statistical modeling.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and convert them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, especially when presenting insights to non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
