Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily execution and installation of mechanical systems on site, including steam, thermic oil, hot and cold water, compressed air, and ventilation systems.
  • Lead the commissioning and startup activities for mechanical infrastructure as the fabric mill establishment progresses.
  • Train and guide site workers and junior engineers on mechanical system operations, safety standards, and maintenance practices.
  • Coordinate with consultants, vendors, internal teams, and clients to ensure smooth mechanical installations and compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Develop, review, and approve method statements, work schedules, and progress reports to monitor project execution.
  • Support the procurement team by reviewing technical specifications and evaluating mechanical equipment to ensure suitability for plant operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize production delays or disruptions.
  • Participate in mechanical design reviews and recommend improvements based on manufacturing and utility requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all mechanical installations, tests, commissioning activities, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure mechanical systems comply with project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Support implementation of preventive maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical and process engineering teams to integrate mechanical systems efficiently within the overall plant operations.

Pre Requisites

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or National Diploma in Technology (NDT) – Mechanical Stream.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with project execution and mechanical utility systems (steam, thermic oil, HVAC, compressed air) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical system installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, leadership, and analytical skills
