Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Manager – Finance will lead the finance function of a dynamic and fast-growing restaurant group. The role is designed to elevate finance from a purely reporting-oriented function into a strategic business partner, enabling data-driven decisions that foster growth and sustainability. Key focus areas include management accounting, profitability analysis, forecasting, and cashflow management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Drive management accounting processes by developing forecasting models, scenario planning, and margin tracking.
  • Deliver in-depth profitability analytics across outlets, brands, menu items, and promotional activities, identifying opportunities to maximize margins.
  • Develop robust short- and long-term cashflow strategies to ensure liquidity and continuity.
  • Implement rolling forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to support agile business decisions.

2. Business Insights & Performance Analytics

  • Design and maintain dashboards that integrate sales, food cost, labor, and overhead data into a clear profitability view.
  • Partner with Operations, Culinary, and Marketing teams to measure the financial impact of menu changes, campaigns, and customer acquisition initiatives.
  • Identify cost drivers and recommend savings strategies while preserving brand standards and customer experience.
  • Provide financial insights to guide pricing, vendor negotiations, and investment planning.

3. Cashflow & Treasury Management

  • Oversee daily and weekly cashflow, ensuring proactive management of working capital (DSO, DPO, inventory).
  • Build and maintain cashflow forecasting models to minimize financial risk and avoid last-minute funding gaps.
  • Strengthen relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure favorable terms for credit, leasing, and capital projects.

4. Financial Management & Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and external audits.
  • Drive ERP adoption to enable real-time visibility into financial and operational performance.
  • Enhance financial governance, internal controls, and risk management practices.

5. Business Partnering & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted commercial advisor to the CEO and Executive Committee, offering actionable financial insights.
  • Build financial acumen across business unit heads and operational managers to drive cost awareness and accountability.
  • Support the CEO in preparing Board-level presentations with forward-looking projections and strategic insights.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team to transition into a proactive, analytical, and advisory function.

Pre Requisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA preferred).
  • Professional qualification: CA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in management accounting, FP&A, or commercial finance.
  • Strong background in F&B, QSR, hospitality, or FMCG industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cashflow modeling, forecasting, and ERP finance systems.
