Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Internal Auditor to join a leading diversified conglomerate with operations across multiple sectors including real estate, renewable energy, hospitality, finance, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening the internal control environment, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvements in business processes across group entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and report on internal audits across business units in line with annual audit plans.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management frameworks, and governance processes.
- Identify process gaps, control deficiencies, and recommend value-adding improvements.
- Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with management teams across group companies to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Support the development and enhancement of internal audit methodologies and policies.
- Participate in special investigations and risk assessments as required.
Pre Requisites
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Sri Lanka or equivalent).
- Minimum 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in internal auditing, risk management, or external audit (preferably within a large conglomerate or diversified business group).
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, financial reporting, and business processes.
- Exposure to ERP environments (SAP/Oracle/IFS) and audit management tools will be an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity, professional judgment, and ability to work independently
