Job Brief

Roles & Responsibilities

  • This is a proactive front facing design role, working with customers, the head of design and the marketing team,
    to create on point, commercial and on trend garments that fulfill customer needs and in conjunction with new
    innovative ideas and new technologies, working to customer specifications and internal sales and
    design strategies.
  • Through competitive reports and a clear market analysis, you will look for opportunities and white space to
    grow our business with our customers – you will work closely with the head of design /product
    development and commercial teams, to search for business growth opportunities.
  • You will liaise with buyers, on a daily basis to build relationships, and to action their specific requests, ensuring
    that samples and cads are right first time, with keen attention to detail.
  • Manage your own / team workload, prioritizing the workload of your product design area to arrange samples
    to meet deadlines, you will be able to use your own initiative, to recognize when a customer meeting needs to
    take place, looking after your own calendar of events, and managing your workload accordingly.
  • Attend marketing events, trend fairs, fashion and fabric exhibitions/conferences etc. to understand upcoming fashion,
    colour, fabric trends; Create reports and insights based on the visits.
  • Aligning these reports to white space gaps for our current and future customers.
  • This role requires management of Men’s/Women’s/Kid’s product area design workload working in conjunction
    with head of design and Dhaka design team

Pre Requisites

  • BA Honours Degree Fashion related
  • 5 years+ experience in product area design across Men’s/Women’s and Kids , with
    exposure to UK/European/US markets and customers
  • Actively be able to seek out opportunity’s for your specific customer
  • Worked with buyers previously to design into cost parameters.
  • Knowledge of forthcoming trends and in season/out of season products and be able
    to apply them to commercial design – to grow the business.
  • Worked with off-shore factory’s and hub offices to ensure that first samples are
    visually and technically correct.
  • Have a good understanding of
  • Be able to manage workloads across a team ensuring all design requests are meeting
    customer CP and expectations.
  • Actively able to seek to business opportunities through a keen insightful knowledge
    of customers.
